April and Redneck RV Park

Well after being in Arkansas and cancelling our trip to Branson, on the way home,  due to 5-6 inches of snow in Branson.  We hung out in Arkansas a week longer !!  Driving home through Illinois we saw the after effects of the snow storm that went thru.  Snow piles everywhere in Southern Illinois.  Reached Delavan Wisconsin, home of the Redneck RV Park, by Easter and Randy's birthday.  My brother has a farm in Delavan and lots of parking area, as he needs room to park his Semi and trailers.

It's been hard coming back to the very cold weather for the first 3 weeks and knowing how warm it was in Florida.  But now the weather is FINALLY real spring and we've got the motorcycle out.  Even though the weather didn't cooperate, it was a good thing we got back early.  We've been busy making fixes at the house in Fort Atkinson.  Sink disposal replacement, leaking hot water heater so replaced, re-roof over back room, flooded by river of back yard so we will have to rack and reseed.  So today we cleaned the ponds and waterfalls and got them going.  Hard to guarantee that the renters will take care of the ponds and fish.
It's been great to visit with family and friends.  But we're excited about our next leg of adventure too.
Our plan is to head west.  Minnesota, South Dakota, Wyoming then onto California to see the Redwoods and Yosemite.  We join a caravan of RVers in mid September to head from California down through Grand Canyon and end up in Albuquerque New Mexico for the Albuquerque Balloon Festival in October.  We get to park right on the grounds and see 100's of hot air balloons go up daily.
